Georgia's top business leaders honored at Gala fundraiser
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Georgia Historical Society held their annual fundraising Gala at 7:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Savannah Feb. 11.
The event marked the finale of the Georgia History Festival. Georgia's top business and civic leaders honored and paid tribute to the best the state has produced.

The highlight of the Gala is the induction of two citizens of Georgia, philanthropist and real estate developer Thomas Cousins and former United Nations Ambassador and Civil Rights leader Andrew Young, who exemplify a lifetime of excellence.
After the awards presentation, the new trustees answered questions on topics ranging from business to history and their own life experiences.
